BNP--British Nazi Party?

For readers not already aware of these two recent stories concerning prominent members of the British National Party, a brief summary: In February, David Cameron, leader of Britain's Conservative Party, announced the death of his six-year-old son Ivan, who had lived his short life with epilepsy and cerebral palsy. In response to the nationwide expression of sympathy from all parts of the political spectrum, Jeffrey Marshall of the BNP wrote: "We live in a country today which is unhealthily dominated by an excess of sentimentality towards the weak and unproductive." He also wrote: "There is actually not a great deal of point in keeping these sort of people alive, after all." After learning of the public outrage created by Marshall's remarks, BNP deputy leader Simon Darby said: "I think it’s appalling that our political opponents are trying to make capital out of this. The message wasn’t posted on a BNP website." As though Marshall should only be criticised for openly advocating eugenically motivated genocide if he does so on a Party website.

Deputy leader Darby made news himself recently by speaking at an international fascist rally in Italy, where he was greeted with fascist salutes, and met with representatives of fascist and far-right parties from a half-dozen different countries.
